I had Jess as my doula and she was beyond amazing during my labor and delivery. I went into it with an open mind, but really wanted a natural childbirth. My doctor broke my water to get my labor going and Jess was there to explain that process to me and was with me every step of the way until the birth of my son! She was an amazing motivator and used different techniques to keep me as comfortable as possible. I was able to have the natural, drug-free delivery that I wished for and I believe having that extra line of support had a lot to do with it! She was also very helpful in educating me before and after the birth.

Jess helped me from a 1,000 miles away. My husband and I lived in California on a marine base where I didn’t know anyone. I was pregnant, and my husband was gone for most of my pregnancy. Alone with all my thoughts, Jess answered any and all questions at any time of the day for me regarding questions about the baby, things my doctor’s had told me without explaining in depth, and told me what my rights were in the delivery room. She put my mind at ease, made me feel heard, and helped bring this new mama’s worries down significantly. I’m so lucky to have had her to turn to for help, motivation, and validation to all my *mostly* ridiculous new mom questions!

I have had Jess as my doula for all four of my babies. I’ve had a wide range of experiences in losses, pregnancies and deliveries but I always had a constant by my side and her name was Jess.
My first pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy that ended with the loss of my baby. Jess was there supporting me; it was always a phone call, a visit, a grocery run and/or just a hug. She literally got me through my toughest days.
My second baby scared us all by coming into the world a month early, but to our surprise he was completely healthy. I don’t think I would have made it through that experience without Jess there holding my hand and talking me through everything. She was always so calm in such a scary situation.
My third baby decided to come into this world very quickly and didn’t allow the doctor to get there in time so the nurse and Jess basically delivered my baby. There was no stopping the process and all I had to do was look at Jess and she knew exactly what I needed in that stressful delivery.
My fourth baby was a miracle birth. My entire pregnancy there was never any concern of my baby being breech. No one knows when she flipped but she did. No one knew she flipped until I was at the end of the bed ready to begin delivering her. When I say everyone was shocked, I mean EVERYONE. I was completely terrified but there was nothing that I could do. I had to deliver her at that moment, no medicine, no c section team, nothing. Just me, the traveling doctor and Jess. I remember being so scared but in that moment, I could hear Jess’s voice. Jess’s voice was like my safe haven. She made me feel safe with just her voice, how incredible is that?
I know I didn’t need to explain every experience for my testimony but I want everyone reading this to understand just how beneficial Jess could be for you. She is someone that will always be on your team and she will do everything in her power to make sure you have the best experience in the way you want it. Jess was and still is my safe haven. I literally wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without her.
